We call them “GRG Support Groups,” but for many grandparents and kin raising children, they’re so much more. These groups are a lifeline—offering emotional support and access to the information, services, and resources caregivers need to navigate complex challenges.
Whether you’re just starting your caregiving journey or have been raising your grandchild for years, support groups offer:
- Trusted information about legal rights, school enrollment, healthcare, and more.
- Guidance on navigating complex systems like DCF, courts, and special education.
- Referrals to local resources and programs.
- Emotional support and a sense of community from others who have walked in your shoes
You can join a group that meets in person in your community or take part in virtual meetings from anywhere in Massachusetts. Wherever you are, you’re not alone—and support is closer than you think.

- Camps & Enrichment Programs – after-school activities, sports, arts, and summer camps
- Educational Resources – tutoring and learning tools to help kids succeed
- (In Development) Everyday Support – financial assistance for child care and essential needs.
