Support Groups
Support Groups are a Lifeline
We call them “GRG Support Groups,” but for many grandparents and kin raising children, they’re so much more. These groups are a lifeline—offering emotional support and access to the information, services, and resources caregivers need to navigate complex challenges.
Whether you’re just starting your caregiving journey or have been raising your grandchild for years, support groups offer:
- Referrals to local resources and programs
- Emotional support and a sense of community from others who have walked in your shoes
- Opportunities to build meaningful relationships with others that have had similar experiences.
You can join a group that meets in person in your community or take part in virtual meetings from anywhere in Massachusetts. Wherever you are, you’re not alone—and support is closer than you think.
If you are a service provider, a grandparent or a relative caregiver in a community interested in starting a support group, please email us.
